The 600+ new designs hitting Ethan Allen Design Centers beginning in September further underscore the new attitude: modern, fresh, relaxed, and influenced by everything from rustic beach houses to chic urban dwellings. Color palettes are cooler in tone and more organic in feeling, ranging from earthy neutrals to fashionable grays to dark rich mochas. Glittering metallics, offering hints of glamour, are playfully entwined throughout the collections. Twenty new wood finish options are available.
The new product array will include a large assortment of accessories, such as lizard trays in black and turquoise, decorative objects made from petrified wood and cast brass, polished nickel decorative pieces, chrome-finished Tang horses, smoky glass candlesticks, ceramic vases and bowls in antique white, a colorful assortment of temple jars, and recycled glass balls, to name just a few.
There will be 60 new styles in the wall décor assortment, including handmade paper art and exclusive giclées, and 37 new styles of decorative accessories. The 30 new lighting styles for fall include eight chandeliers and colorful table lamps. A new mattress program, Sleep by Design™, will feature ten mattresses as well as an expansion into the children's category. Eighteen new top-of-the-bed ensembles are being introduced along with an abundance of hand-detailed decorative pillow options. An extensive rug collection and stunning floral décor elements round out the introductions.
For the first time, Ethan Allen is stepping into the home scents category with the introduction of the Ethan Allen Home Fragrance Collection. The five collection scents are intriguing, inventive and beautifully blended, and are available as a candle and a reed diffuser.
On a store level, customers will notice a more casual and relaxed lifestyle and attitude inside the Ethan Allen Design Centers. The modern and immensely livable look will begin rollout in September, although the company's flagship Design Center in Danbury, CT, has already been transformed to reflect the company's new vision. The complete retail overhaul includes an update to everything from flooring and windows to installation of an art gallery space and a DEAL center (catering specifically to deals and steals). The new Design Center is outfitted in a soothing color palette designed to showcase each piece beautifully, with products displayed in vignettes and small groupings, all created to enhance the shopping experience.
As always, Ethan Allen's onsite designers are available to help customers at no charge. Designers will have access in the design studios to an extensive selection of wallpaper, fabric, drapery, and window treatments. And with the addition of several technology improvements, including tablets and touchscreens, the designers will have unbridled access to the vast assortment of all Ethan Allen products right at their fingertips.
