Panasonic LUMIX DMC-LX100 Digital Camera
The first new camera from Panasonic is an advanced point-and-shoot with manual controls and a large 16.8MP 4/3" MOS sensor. It captures up to 12.8MP images (in 4:3 mode) and 4K Ultra HD video at 30 or 24 fps, along with Full HD video up to 60 fps. It also offers the ability to extract 8-megapixel stills from the 4K footage, letting you use the video as a high-speed, continuous-burst photo mode to cover a scene.
The Panasonic DMC-LX100 features a built-in Leica DC Vario-Summilux zoom lens with a 24-75mm focal range (35mm equivalent) and a fast f/1.7-2.8 maximum aperture. The camera implements Light Speed AF with Depth from Defocus (DFD) technology for high-speed AF in approximately 0.14 seconds. Incorporated into the compact design is a 3.0" 921k-dot-resolution rear LCD screen, as well as a high-resolution 2,764k-dot viewfinder with full Adobe RGB color space for accurate image monitoring. You'll also find manual control rings for zoom, focus, and aperture, dials on the top of the body for shutter speed and exposure compensation, and a hot shoe for using the external flash units. A compact external flash comes included and matches the style and body color of the camera.
Rounding out the camera features is built-in Wi-Fi connectivity with NFC, for remote camera control and image sharing using the Panasonic Image App from a linked mobile device.

Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GM5 Mirrorless Micro Four Thirds Digital Camera with 12-35mm f/3.5-5.6 ASPH. MEGA O.I.S.Lens
The next camera is a new GM series interchangeable-lens mirrorless camera. Styled similarly to the GM1 with a sleek magnesium-alloy frame, the GM5 adds a 1,166k-dot electronic viewfinder in place of the pop-up flash found on the GM1, as well as a hot-shoe mount for a more full-featured system. It features a 16-megapixel Digital Live MOS sensor and Venus Engine to produce high-resolution images and Full HD 1080p video at 60fps.
A smart Contrast AF system enables signal exchanges between the camera and attached lens at a maximum of 240 fps for fast autofocusing speeds. This speed lets you get the most out of the camera's 5.8 fps full-resolution burst mode shooting, and 40 fps bursts using the electronic shutter. Additional focusing features include Face/Eye Detection AF, Low Light AF for focusing in dim (-4 EV) conditions, and Focus Peaking when focusing manually. Built-in Wi-Fi connectivity lets you monitor and control the camera from your mobile device using the Panasonic Image App, and then upload and share your images to social networks.

Panasonic has also announced the LUMIX G VARIO 35-100mm f/4.0-5.6 ASPH. MEGA O.I.S lens for Micro Four Thirds cameras. Designed as a compact alternative to the premium X Series model, the lens covers the popular 70-200mm (35mm equivalent) focal range and features all-metal construction and a retractable design to complement the style of the GM5. It incorporates Panasonic's MEGA Optical Image Stabilizer and is fully compatible with sensor drive speeds up to 240 fps to take advantage of cameras, like the GM5, equipped with high-speed contrast autofocus systems. The construction of the lens includes one aspherical lens element and two extra-low dispersion (ED) elements to help minimize aberrations and contribute to high contrast, color-accurate images. The lens has a minimum focusing distance of 3 feet.
