SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwired - Sep 23, 2014) - Baidu (
In the past year, Baidu PC Faster has made impressive gains in North America, South America, Europe, Southeast Asia and North Africa. The new 5.0 version of the software has significantly increased its trash file and startup item databases compared to version 4.0, and can now shave four more seconds off a computer's boot-up time. Its built-in Wi-Fi hotspot tool lets users instantly turn their PC into a hotspot for tablets and smartphones, and can display download and upload traffic in real time. PC Faster also includes a Game Faster feature that automatically shuts off unnecessary processes to improve the performance of games.
"A fast, smoothly running computer is a necessity these days. But on lots of PCs, junk files accumulate on the hard drive, which slows everything down including startup, web browsing and games," said Baidu PC Faster team leader Justin Gao. "In version 5.0, we more than doubled PC Faster's junk file and startup item databases. The improvement is huge -- it means that people can make their computers as fast as new in just one click."
Baidu PC Faster works to deliver a "junk free" PC by eliminating three key culprits of slow computers: useless files left over from previously installed software or the trash can, memory that's needlessly tied up in background processes, and unnecessary boot-up items. The entire speedup process is completed in just one click, and gives immediate results with no need to reboot the computer.
