PITTSBURGH, Sept. 26, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- During the 29th Annual Clinical Symposium on Advances in Skin & Wound Care: The Conference for Prevention and Healing, Net Health's Chief Clinical Officer Cathy Thomas Hess will present two sessions discussing workflow documentation and best practices for wound care clinicians.
"Basic Wound Care in 2014: Documenting and Delivering Best Practices through Interdisciplinary Care" will be held on Monday, September 29 at 10 AM PT (part 1) and 1:30 PM PT (part 2). The accredited sessions will navigate attendees through the varying skills required by both nurses and physical therapists for wound healing and explain how these areas of expertise complement each other. As a lifelong wound care nurse, Ms. Hess provides a unique perspective on the value of interdisciplinary care teams and process workflow on patient healing.
"In an increasingly challenging economic environment, providers are looking for more efficiencies and ways to drive value. Our goal is to support them through this process," says Net Health President, Patrick Colletti. "Cathy Hess, and her Professional Services division, is able to assess clients' processes around workflow—to help them to be more clinically effective and process efficient using software as a tool. We're proud of the work the Net Health Professional Services team does and pleased that Cathy Hess's expertise is available to attendees at a wound care event of this caliber."
In addition, Hess will facilitate a preconference workshop on wound care department compliance and process. The workshop, "Driving Documentation to Payment: 7 Rules for a Compliant Wound Care Department" will be held on Sunday, September 28 from 8 AM – noon PT. Attendees will discuss the clinical, operational, regulatory, and economic process changes for documentation requirements and payment.
The 2014 Annual Clinical Symposium on Advances in Skin & Wound Care: The Conference for Prevention and Healing, being held in Las Vegas from September 27 – October 1, will gather nurses, physicians, podiatrists, physical therapists, dietitians, administrators, researchers, and others who manage patients with skin and wound problems across the continuum of health care.
