Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Symposium to Explore the Future of the Health Sciences

ALBANY, NY--(Marketwired - Oct 6, 2014) -  Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS) is proud to present a symposium on Tuesday, October 14 on the Future of the Health Sciences, to be held in conjunction with the inaugural events of President T. Gregory Dewey, Ph.D.

The Symposium will take place from 10 am to 4 pm in the Gozzo Student Center on the ACPHS Campus. It is free and open to the public; click the following link to register for the Symposium.

Titled "The Health Science Juggernaut: Innovation, Regulation, and Education," the Symposium will be split into two sessions: a scientific session in the morning followed by a broader session in the afternoon that will examine issues of development and practice in the life sciences and health care industries.

"This is a wide ranging symposium that will look into the future and anticipate the advances and challenges in the Health Sciences field," said ACPHS President Gregory Dewey, who will be inaugurated as the College's ninth president in a ceremony taking place on Wednesday, October 15. "The overarching question guiding the forum is 'How can the health sciences be advanced to best serve health care?'"

Eight exceptional academic researchers, corporate leaders, and industry thought leaders will be speaking at the event. Below is a schedule of speakers and presentation titles (for those unable to attend in person, the Symposium will be broadcast live on the College's website).
