BERKELEY, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 29, 2014) - Backroads, the world's leading active travel company, and Specialized announced today that they are extending their partnership in 2015 and rolling out a new fleet of Specialized bicycles as upgrades available on all Backroads cycling tours in Europe, North America and Hawaii. Backroads guests have the option of upgrading to a Specialized S-Works Roubaix or Specialized S-Works Ruby carbon bike.

For Backroads guests who have dreamed of touring on a top-of-the-line, $8,000 pro-level bike, now is their chance. The S-Works bikes offer a faster and smoother ride than any other bike out there. They are race-ready carbon machines that deliver phenomenal acceleration and handling and maximize performance without sacrificing comfort. The S-Works bikes feature Shimano components and super light Roval-Rapide CLX 40 carbon wheel sets.
