Rejuvenation to Open New Store in Palo Alto

Retailer's Fifth Brick and Mortar Store Brings American-Crafted Design Inspired by History to Silicon Valley

PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwired - Dec 3, 2014) - Rejuvenation, the general store for home improvement projects that add real value to homes, buildings and projects, today announced the opening of its first Palo Alto store, scheduled for December 18, 2014. Located at 323 University Avenue, the downtown Palo Alto location represents the retailer's fifth brick and mortar store. Rejuvenation Palo Alto will offer the same American-crafted and heritage-inspired lighting, hardware and home accessories as well as complimentary design services that Rejuvenation shoppers have come to expect.

Designed by San Francisco-based Jensen Architects, the team behind award-winning buildings such as Healdsburg SHED and Fort Mason Center, the Palo Alto store represents the launch of a completely redesigned Rejuvenation store experience. Utilizing the familiar elements of the general store such as tack boards and bins, Jensen's design re-interprets this traditional store model by curating a modern experience in which shoppers can easily view and interact with merchandise.

Rejuvenation extends its commitment to fostering and supporting American design by partnering with Steven Eichler on an in-store exhibit celebrating the legacy of his family's iconic Mid-Century homes on the Peninsula. In addition to local partnerships, the store will also carry modern heirlooms from three West Coast-based artisans who collaborated with Rejuvenation for exclusive collections: Caravan Pacific and Cedar & Moss mid-century-inspired lighting and Pigeon Toe ceramics.

"Rejuvenation's heritage is in updating classic pieces through technology and materials to create functional house parts that add real value to properties -- a perfect fit for the Palo Alto community," said Marta Benson, senior vice president of Rejuvenation. "Our Palo Alto store reflects the brand's growth, but also offers the timeless and quality house parts designed for modern customers who want to update their space, wherever it falls in Palo Alto's diverse architectural landscape."

Rejuvenation currently sells to both consumers and trade via its catalogs; at existing retail stores in Portland, Ore., Seattle, Los Angeles and Berkeley; and through the company's website, www.rejuvenation.com
