CHARLOTTE, N.C., Dec. 3, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- UBL Interactive, Inc. (OTCBB:UBLI) ("UBL"), The Local Leader with Global Reach™, today announced that it has partnered with distinguished local-mobile advertising executive Tony Philipp to accelerate its AdsLocal initiative.

Mr. Philipp will head what will be the company's local mobile advertising service aimed at providing new ways for businesses to market to customers and to communicate with them in what is an increasingly mobile-dominated environment.

Mr. Philipp was founder of the mobile marketing company UpSnap which he recently sold. UBL will be acquiring certain other assets owned by Mr. Philipp, and all will operate under the AdsLocal brand at www.AdsLocal.com.

UBLI CEO, Doyal Bryant, said it was important for the company to participate in the advertising and promotion aspects of location marketing, as a companion to its highly successful Universal Business Listing service.

"Tony Philipp brings a wealth of experience in the field to UBL," said Bryant. "For many of our customers, the identity work by UBL is just the start of an effort to promote their business, and they look for us to introduce them to new ways to generate customer connections locally."

"This is a logical move for UBL and myself," commented Tony Philipp. "The opportunities in the field of local mobile advertising are enormous, and will certainly extend the UBL brand offerings."

The announcement was made today at BIA/Kelsey's LEADING IN LOCAL: Interactive Local Media conference in San Francisco, which UBL is sponsoring.
