CHICAGO, Dec. 3, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Harold Litvak, DMD, MSD, FACP, was honored with the Founders Society Award by the American College of Prosthodontists (ACP) Education Foundation. Dr. Litvak was recognized during the 44th Annual Session of the American College of Prosthodontists held in New Orleans from Nov. 5-8, 2014. His son, board certified Prosthodontist Michael D. Litvak, DDS, FACP, accepted the award on his father's behalf along with the medallion presented in his father's name.
Dr. Litvak was chosen by the Foundation's Board of Directors based on his legacy of vision, leadership, service, and dedication to the ACP Education Foundation and the specialty of Prosthodontics. Dr. Litvak is an active life member of the ACP, a life Fellow and a Past-President of the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics. A clinical professor with 40 years of service, Dr. Litvak is the former director of the Occlusion Section in Advanced Education in Prosthodontics at New York University College of Dentistry (NYUCD). The NYUCD Harold and Sheila Litvak Prosthodontics Wing fosters interaction and synergy across specialties. Dr. Litvak is beloved by his peers, many friends and his warm family.
