CHICAGO, Ill., Jan. 26, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- LonMark® International, a non-profit international association recognized for the certification, education and promotion of interoperability standards for control networking, today announced the winners of its "Best of the Year" awards for 2014. LonMark certified products, people and companies have served as the foundation for thousands of open, interoperable systems worldwide. These annual awards reflect the vision and innovation shared among the members of the LonMark community. Congratulations to the 2014 Best of Year Award winners.
Categories and winners for 2014 include:
Multi-Vendor Project of the Year (Large): ISDE's Ferroparque Building Project in Querétaro, México. ISDE worked with local engineers and integrators to completely automate a four-story building, by integrating HVAC, lighting, access and security within each office and the building's common areas. This project exemplifies the degree of openness of the system and the benefit of LON® technology to the customer.
Multi-Vendor Project of the Year (Small-repeatable): Engenuity Systems recognized for their Small Box Energy project involving the Chameleon energy management solution. Small Box Energy opted to trust Engenuity Systems to design, procure, manufacture, and test the hardware in its energy management system for them, freeing up resources for Small Box Energy to focus on its core competency, customer service.
Certified Product of the Year: ThebenHTS PlanoCentro PCLON Presence Detectors, recognized for its three directional light measurements, the PCLON allows for optimal use of daylight – and therefore maximizes energy savings. The PlanoCentro PCLON is ideally suited for use in open-plan offices, classrooms and other types of rooms. It can support a detection range of up to 100 m2 with minimal movement, making it the ideal solution for demanding applications.
Visionary of the Year: Christophe Orceau, founder of Streetlight.Vision, a company that provides open Central Management Software for smart streetlight and smart city applications. Christophe has been honored for his vital role in leading the LonMark street lighting initiative and for being a longtime supporter of LonMark International. Christophe is very dedicated to accelerating adoption of LonMark certified streetlight control products and has been a driving force behind marketing programs that create LonMark awareness worldwide.
