LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Feb 12, 2015) - The Trade Desk, recently named among the top ten on Forbes Magazine's Top 100 List of America's Most Promising Companies, announced today that it has hired adtech industry veteran Matt Harty as its senior vice president of Asia Pacific. The company established its Singapore office in July 2013 to meet growing client demand in the region; it has since opened offices in Seoul, Korea, Tokyo, Japan, and Sydney, Australia. Harty will be based in Singapore.
Harty has worked in online advertising in Asia since 1997, co-founding the first pan-Asian Ad Network, SpaceAsia Media, which was sold to CMGi in 2000. From there, Harty co-founded Activ8, a yield management company preceding programmatic supply-side platforms. He also held leadership roles at Omnicom in Asia Pacific, and most recently ran the Audience Solutions business for Experian Asia.
"We've known Matt for a long time, and it's a thrill to have him join our team as senior vice president of Asia Pacific," says Jeff Green, CEO and cofounder of The Trade Desk. "Our growth in APAC drove the need to staff across the region and into Korea, Japan, and Australia. With Matt's dynamism, industry knowledge, and strong relationships, we're confident he'll have immediate impact on the business. We're so pleased to add his expertise to our client offering."
Harty added, "The Trade Desk is a major global player in ad tech. The team and technology are both industry leaders. I hope to do them credit and help in their journey to change how media is traded."
