VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Feb. 12, 2015) - Back in Motion Rehab Inc. (Back in Motion) is delighted to announce a new service to employers (predominantly in Surrey), called the Canada-British Columbia Job Grant (CJG) - Delivery Partner Program. Available until March 31, 2015, this service assists employers with accessing available grant dollars to help offset the expense of employee training.
"We are very pleased to offer local employers our support in accessing the [CJG] for their employees. These grants will help businesses enhance the skills of their staff, to the benefit of the individual, the employer and the workforce as a whole," says Debbie Samson, President of Back in Motion.
In anticipation of the CJG, Back in Motion and the Surrey Board of Trade signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in July 2014, emphasizing their commitment to work together toward a common vision: to support the development of a strong, adaptable and skilled workforce for Surrey's labour market. With this support, Back in Motion is reaching out all sizes and types of business in Surrey, to promote the CJG and facilitate employer uptake of the available training dollars.
Working with our partners and employers predominantly in Surrey, Back in Motion will:
- Provide employers with training needs assessments for current and new employees
- Develop training plans
- Connect employers with training institutions
- Organize group training (where suitable)
- Assist employers with CJG applications and submissions
In support of the CJG, the BCIT Corporate & Industry Training department has committed to work with Back in Motion to develop a training needs assessment tool for evaluating skills and training needs. Coordinated by the School of Business, BCIT has made a strong commitment to deliver accessible programming to employers, without a long application and waiting period before the program commences.
"Back in Motion has a long history of meeting the needs of employers over our 21 years in business, from helping injured employees return to the workforce, to screening and sourcing job candidates…Helping employers access the CJG will boost the effectiveness of their employees and strengthen their workforce," says Brent Mulhall, VP of Business Development with Back in Motion.
