HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwired - Feb 26, 2015) - The Houston Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA Houston) is pleased to announce the 63 finalist companies, organizations and institutions across 21 industry categories in the 2014 Marketer of the Year (MOTY) award program. These finalists were determined by the scores of a panel of Houston-area marketing professionals that reviewed the marketing programs of approximately 100 nominations. AMA Houston will honor these 63 finalists and their marketing teams at the awards event on March 5, 2015 at the Hobby Center Zilkha Hall during which time the chapter will announce the Best in Category winners and reveal Houston's 2014 Marketer of the Year, selected from among the top scoring finalists by a second panel of distinguished marketing professionals from across the country.
The event's keynote will be Russ Klein, CEO of the AMA, who will discuss "Best Practices vs. Next Practices." New for this year's MOTY event is a "Legendary Dinners" silent auction providing attendees the opportunity to bid on and win a personal, one-on-one dinner with one of eight Houston business leaders. They include Mayor Annise Parker; Houston Business Journal Publisher, John Beddow; Houston Texan, Whitney Mercilus and others.
