Charitable "Believe in Yourself" Clothing Line Launched in Support of Fullerton Cares Autism Foundation

FULLERTON, Calif., March 9, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- With autism affecting 1:68 children, the child of Fullerton Cares founder Larry Houser is far from being just a number. After inspiring the creation of charity Fullerton Cares Autism Foundation in 2010, Boyd Houser, now 6, has grown up in a nonprofit that has helped or served over 10,000 people and raised over $75,000 to support autism awareness, acceptance, and action in North Orange County, California, including enrichment of autism classrooms, the creation of autism sensory gardens, proms, restaurants, technology, worksites, and development of extracurricular activities including karate, baseball, and dance. So much interest and enthusiasm has been generated about the unique programs and services supported by Fullerton Cares that national retailer, Ink to the People, has created a limited-run line of attire and accessories in support of Fullerton Cares Autism Foundation, profiling Fullerton Cares as their selected charity for the month of March. "We are looking forward to a great campaign," says Ink to the People Co-Founder Todd Richheimer. "We are happy to help a very worthy grassroots and community-based nonprofit like Fullerton Cares who is able to enrich the lives of people of all abilities through the direct support of the community they serve."

Through this month-long partnership, each t-shirt sold with the theme of "Believe in Yourself" becomes a charitable gift for Fullerton Cares Autism Foundation, something the organization and its founders can put directly towards the next wave of autism inclusion initiatives, including the recently-launched work training program in a local restaurant, and this year's upcoming Special Needs Prom supported by Fullerton Cares, where students are treated to a night out on the town and at the Prom with full supports to enjoy the events and festivities.

"We thank Ink to the People for identifying and aligning with the vision of Fullerton Cares," says Founder Larry Houser. "It is because of them that Boyd and all of the children in our community will grow up in a world where people are aware of autism, accept people of all abilities, and take action to ensure inclusion for all people of all abilities."
