Kansas Department of Administration Selects Mobile Inventory and Surplus Management Software Solutions from AssetWorks

TOPEKA, KANSAS--(Marketwired - March 26, 2015) - AssetWorks LLC, a leading provider of fixed asset software solutions, today announced that the Kansas Department of Administration, Office of Surplus Property has signed a contract for State and Federal Surplus Management Software (SMS), along with mobile inventory solution, Scan & Validate™ from AssetWorks. Utilizing these solutions, the State of Kansas Office of Surplus Property can help to ensure the equitable and appropriate redistribution, sale, and use of state and federal property.

By interfacing to GSAXcess, SMS automatically transfers data for allocated federal property. As part of the Kansas Department of Administration, the Kansas State and Federal Surplus Property programs acquire and redistribute State and Federal surplus property to state agencies, local governments, educational institutions and other eligible organizations. The division currently manages requests for over 10,000 items per year.
