Falls Church, VA, April 2, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- NASA announced today that Three Wire Systems, LLC was awarded one of its SEWP V contracts. This is the fifth iteration of NASA's Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement multi-award Government-Wide Acquisition Contract for up to $20 billion in acquisitions. Three Wire previously held a contract under SEWP IV.
NASA received proposals for SEWP V for awards in five business categories, including full-and-open, small business and service-disabled veteran-owned. Three Wire's contract falls under the service-disabled veteran-owned small business category. Both SEWP IV and SEWP V contracts were awarded based on a competitive source selection process. SEWP V contracts have been awarded for a period of 10 years with a five-year base and a five-year option period.

The principal purpose of the SEWP V contracts is to provide state-of-the-art information technology and computer technologies, high-end scientific and engineering processing capabilities, network equipment and peripherals. These Government-Wide Acquisition Contracts are available for ordering by all NASA centers, all federal agencies and their contractors. NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, Maryland procures and manages the SEWP V effort.
