ATLANTA, April 14, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ScottMadden, Inc., a general management consulting firm, has partnered with the American Productivity & Quality Center (APQC), a benchmarking and best practices research organization, to engage participants in our second annual benchmarking study focused exclusively on Finance Shared Services Organizations (SSOs).
Unlike general finance benchmark studies, the Finance Shared Services Benchmarking Study provides benchmarks specific to the processes handled by SSOs to give participants a better understanding of performance compared to peer organizations on costs, staffing levels, and productivity measures. This study also provides qualitative information about delivery models and other SSO practices to provide insight on leading practices.
The study will address these key questions for participants:
- How do you compare to top-performing SSOs?
- Which parts of your SSO are most productive?
- Which global models have the most efficient operations?
- Are you staffed appropriately?
- Which processes are most commonly offered in Finance SSOs?
Key insights and findings from ScottMadden and APQC's first annual benchmarking study in 2014 showed that top-performing SSOs can achieve significant staffing and cost benefits over peer organizations. Top performers operate with one and half times greater staffing efficiency and have operating costs that are less than one-third of their peers.
