Willow Grove, PA, April 21, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Azzur Consulting, a leading provider of consulting services and project resources within the life science industry, today announced Shelley Preslar, General Manager, Southeast Operations, will speak as part of the “Aging and Modernization Perspectives” discussion at 9 a.m. on Thursday, April 23 at the International Pharmaceutical Expo (INTERPHEX), sponsored by Parenteral Drug Association (PDA).
The presentation will focus on issues related to aging facilities. Preslar will discuss her participation in PDA’s Aging Facilities Workshop, current thinking and best practices for implementing a continuous improvement culture.
“It’s important for our industry to continue this conversation about aging facilities so we can ensure a consistent, quality supply to our patients,” said Preslar. “Aging facilities can provide additional risk factors for potential failures. Our industry is facing the critical question of, ‘How do you continue production and ensure product safety within an aging facility?’ This presentation will address that point and provide some theoretical solutions based on the assessment of a case study during the PDA Aging Facility Workshop.”
Preslar has over 19 years of experience in the life sciences industry providing validation, quality, metrology, maintenance, engineering, project management and other support. Currently, she leads the PDA Facilities and Engineering Interest Group, whose mission is advancing the understanding of existing and cutting edge facilities and engineering developments internationally by promoting scientifically sound, practical technical information and education for industry and regulatory agencies. Additionally, she is a member of PDA’s Aging Facilities Task Force.
