GREENWOOD, S.C., May 4, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Self Regional Healthcare Women's Health Classic kicks off a week that ends on Sunday, May 10th with the announcement of the winner of the Symetra Golf Tour's largest purse, totaling $200,000. The tournament also raises the largest charitable contribution on the 22-stop national tour; the contribution will support women's health initiatives at Self Regional Healthcare and other charities and service organizations in the Lakelands region of South Carolina.
In addition to the 144 golfers on the Symetra Tour — Road to the LPGA, the tournament will host many of the biggest names in women's golf who will attend to play in Pro-Ams and participate in special events.

Highlights include a mentoring breakfast with Symetra Tour golfers and LPGA legend golfers, a golf clinic held in partnership with Greenwood School District, and a 5K run on the course with the Girls on the Run organization.

Tournament play is approximately 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday; 8 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
