GHP recruits new CEO for two of its clinics in Stockholm

Rein Seensalu, gastroenterologist and Associate Professor at the Karolinska
Institute, assumes the position of CEO of GHP Kirurgkliniken Stockholm and GHP
Stockholm Gastro Center on 1 June 2015. Rein’s most recent position was at
Ledningsbolaget i Skandinavien, where he was CEO.
Rein Seensalu has great experience of leadership in health care. He has formerly
held a number of senior positions, for example at Capio S:t Göran Hospital,
where he was involved in transforming the business from health care under the
auspices of the County Council into health care under private management. He has
also experience from the pharmaceuticals industry and most recently from
Ledningsbolaget, where he held the position of CEO. In this capacity he has been
the interim CEO of GHP Kirurgkliniken Stockholm since November. He therefore
knows the clinic and the employees well and has already had the opportunity of
starting interesting development projects.

“We are very pleased that Rein has chosen to become part of the GHP Group by
shouldering the role of CEO for two of our clinics in Stockholm. With his
knowledge, energy and experience of leading health care organisations, he will
be a great asset to our businesses, which have exciting development
opportunities ahead of them,” says Daniel Öhman, CEO of GHP.

GHP Stockholm Gastro Center conducts business operations within medical
gastroenterology and endoscopy. GHP Kirurgkliniken Stockholm carries out obesity
surgery and general surgery within the fields of proctology, the gall bladder
and hernia. Both clinics are situated at Sophiahemmet and GHP Gastro Center
Stockholm is also located in premises at Odenplan.
