Famed artist David Anson Russo, and rocking out will be the Miramonte Elementary school students from the Little Kids Rock program.
WHAT:
Kick-off of the Saks Fifth Avenue three-day live event to benefit national nonprofit Little Kids Rock Tuesday, June 9th, as famed artist David Anson Russo will create original paintings live in the windows of Saks on Wilshire in Beverly Hills, CA.
The original pieces of art will be auctioned off on CharityBuzz with all proceeds benefiting the national nonprofit Little Kids Rock who very effectively provides and restores music programs to underserved public schools.
The exhibition that kicks off at 11 am will include a special performance from local public school students, using instruments donated by Little Kids Rock and instructed by teachers trained as part of the Little Kids Rock program.
Little Kids Rock is the nation's leading nonprofit provider of music instruction, instruments and curricula to more than 1,500 public schools in 29 cities where nearly 200,000 students, including more than 13,000 kids in the Los Angeles area, receive enhanced music instruction in popular music genres like rock, funk, country, pop, metal, reggae and others. Little Kids Rock's innovative music program is called Modern Band.
