CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - June 10, 2015) - The Illinois Technology Association (ITA) welcomes Julia Kanouse in the newly created position of Senior Vice President, Membership and Marketing.
Kanouse was hired in response to the association's rapid growth. Over the past year it has added more than 150 new growth-stage members, expanded current programs including its tech challenge and launched the Internet of Things Council among other initiatives. ITA continues its role as the leading voice for the technology community.
"We are thrilled to welcome Julia to our team in this new position," said ITA CEO Fred Hoch. "She brings to the ITA a unique blend of leadership and association experience that will pay huge dividends to the organization and the technology community in Illinois."
Kanouse will help set the strategic direction of the ITA, leading much of the organization's operations and driving the ITA to its next stage of growth. She's focused on strengthening and expanding the member value proposition to increase the organization's overall impact.
With more than 15 years of marketing experience, Kanouse joins the ITA from the National Restaurant Association (NRA) where she was responsible for developing and delivering programs and marketing strategies that created interest, increased recognition and drove demand for the NRA and its brands. She was also responsible for executing new partnerships and strategic alliances that helped the NRA achieve its goals.
"I am thrilled to join ITA to help grow and build the programs and plans that the association already has in place while also providing new opportunities," said Kanouse. "I look forward to working with this talented team to serve its members across the city and state."
