(OTC:REDG), an innovative Intellectual Property company, is pleased to announce that fans eager to experience their impending Giant-Size line of comics will get an early treat. At this July’s San Diego Comic-Con, the Company will premiere GIANT-SIZE #1, a free ad-supported giveaway starring YouTube superstar Mark “Markiplier” Fischbach in his comic book debut. Beginning today, however, their online store will be selling the much-anticipated book.
Giving away a staggering 50,000 copies in print at San Diego Comic-Con and sponsored by a host of advertisers, GIANT-SIZE #1 will preview never-before-seen artwork from all eight titles of the upcoming GIANT-SIZE line. An illustrated version of the Markiplier character will star on the special’s cover as well as in original vignettes throughout the book, entertainingly introducing each GIANT-SIZE feature as only he can.
“Last year we gave away copies of our Giant-Size #0 issues,” explained Benny Powell, CEO of Red Giant Entertainment. “Based on this experience, we already know that this book will be in high demand at the show… and so do our fans. We’ve been bombarded with requests to purchase this book digitally, and we decided to do just that.”
The print version of GIANT-SIZE #1 will be given out in a dedicated section of the Red Giant Entertainment / Keenspot booth #2635 (located directly between Marvel and Image Comics’ booths) at Comic-Con International: San Diego, July 8 - 12, at the San Diego Convention Center. Markiplier and other GIANT-SIZE #1 creators will be available at the booth to sign copies and meet with fans.
With more than 8 million subscribers and 2.3 billion video views on his gaming comedy channel, Red Giant Entertainment board member Fischbach ranks among YouTube’s biggest superstars. And since the vast majority will be unlikely to get a physical copy of the limited run, the digital versions are a good compromise for his adoring fans.

It was agreed that we would sell the book online and include their advertisements. Digital advertising components to digital downloads had long been part of our plans, but to date, we hadn’t included this option. But rather than simply including graphics, we wanted to provide interactive links to our advertisers’ content. This will provide a good test and first step to eventual fully-interactive and even multi-media elements for our digital advertising platform.”
