ATLANTA, June 25, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Racemi announces access to its DynaCenter enterprise migration software platform to qualified organizations moving to the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud at no cost to the customer (AWS usage fees apply). Racemi's DynaCenter software enables businesses to move large numbers of server workloads to AWS in an automated, secure, and reliable way with support for Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC) and direct migrations to the 11 global AWS Regions including AWS GovCloud (US).
"We have committed to migrate thousands of workloads from our private datacenters to AWS in a multi-year effort," said Ben Wilson, CTO of GE Oil & Gas. "Racemi DynaCenter has given us the ability to live-migrate enterprise Windows and Linux workloads directly into our Amazon VPC environment, while maintaining the security and availability levels required by our business. We have now ramped up to hundreds of migrations into AWS."
"We continue to see not only cloud adoption accelerating, but also customers wanting to rapidly migrate large numbers of mission-critical workloads to AWS," said Teresa Carlson, vice president, worldwide Public Sector, AWS. "We're thrilled Racemi is offering automated migration software and applaud their commitment to helping customers move to the cloud quickly, so that they can start realizing the many benefits like agility, elasticity and cost savings."
"The combination of the AWS platform and our industry-leading migration technology helps customers streamline their migration projects and ultimately save money," said Lawrence Guillory, CEO of Racemi. "That is especially true for large-scale enterprise transitions to the cloud."
This service is being offered to customers as part of an agreement reached between Racemi and AWS. As a Technology Partner in the AWS Partner Network, Racemi was awarded an AWS Leadership Award at AWS re:Invent 2014. Access to DynaCenter for qualifying AWS customers was announced today at the AWS Government, Education, and Nonprofits Symposium in Washington D.C. Racemi DynaCenter enables partners and customers to migrate server workloads between dissimilar physical, virtual, and cloud platforms. DynaCenter captures the entire server stack - operating system, applications, network, and storage configuration - and then transforms the workload in flight to run on the AWS Cloud. This automated, unattended process helps to make server workload migrations fast and cost effective. Once initial migration and verification testing is complete, DynaCenter also supports delta data synchronization, which recognizes block level changes to files since the previous capture, and transmits the changed blocks to the target securely using firewall-friendly, outbound HTTPS connections to provide maximum security and reliability. This provides the migrated workloads on Amazon EC2 with the latest production data, configuration, and settings prior to the migration cut over process.
