ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - Jun 26, 2015) - Hawthorne Global Aviation and Cobb County International Airport (KRYY) announced the opening of its dedicated U.S. Customs inspection facility, with on-site staffing. Cobb County International Airport is the first Atlanta metro-area general aviation airport to offer on-site U.S. Customs inspection and staff, with customs services available immediately.

In addition to offering on-site U.S. Customs inspection, the Hawthorne Atlanta FBO has more than 500,000 square feet of hangar space capable of accommodating up to G-650, a 6,000-square-foot passenger terminal, and first class amenities such as pilot lounges and conference facilities. Hawthorne Atlanta also features extensive services for pilots including computer flight planning, weather service and after-hours fuel and emergency services. It is a full-service Shell Aviation fueling station.
Cobb County International Airport is the second busiest general aviation airport in Georgia, and offers the longest general aviation runway in the Atlanta area. Recent airport improvements include new taxiways, and a new control tower. The airport is managed under the guidance of the Cobb County Board of Commissioners.
