Media Advisory: CIBC Brings Pan Am Games Torch Relay to SickKids Hours Before Opening Ceremony on July 10


TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - July 9, 2015) - The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) will have an extra burst of energy the morning of Friday, July 10 when the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am Games Torch Relay visits the hospital. Thanks to this special opportunity provided by CIBC, a committed supporter of SickKids for more than 30 years and lead partner of the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games, the torch will be carried into the hospital by Myles Lynch, a double-lung transplant recipient (October 2014) and SickKids patient ambassador.

SickKids patients, their families and staff will have an opportunity to be part of history as the flame comes to the hospital on the final day of its 41-day journey throughout Ontario and parts of Canada. Myles, a SickKids patient treated for cystic fibrosis, is representing the more than 100,000 patients cared for at the hospital each year and the more than 8,000 staff dedicated to improving the lives of children.
