Central 1 Credit Union Welcomes Brent Clode as Chief Investment Officer

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - July 10, 2015) - Central 1 Credit Union is pleased to announce the addition of Brent Clode to its executive team starting on July 15 in the role of Chief Investment Officer. Brent will be based at Central 1's Toronto office and will travel frequently between Ontario and British Columbia.

Brent comes to Central 1 with 19 years of professional experience in banking and insurance, most recently at Manulife Financial as Vice President of Treasury Risk Management, Funding & Liquidity Operations. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing liquidity and FX risk management, derivative hedging strategies and compliance.

Prior to that, Brent spent the first 12 years of his career continually progressing at CIBC, starting as an Associate in the Fixed Income & Money Market area and ultimately moving into the role of Director of the Treasury & Risk Management Finance division.

Brent has an MBA in Finance from McMaster University and Bachelor of Arts in Administrative and Commercial Studies from the University of Western Ontario. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Brent will succeed Charles Milne, who has provided outstanding contributions to the success of Central 1 and our members over the past 17 years. We are fortunate that Charles has agreed to stay on to help manage the transition until his official retirement date of August 31.
