"We are thrilled to welcome our 75th Pilates on Tour to our hometown of Sacramento," said Ken Endelman, founder and CEO of Balanced Body. "When I founded this company 39 years ago, the goal was to develop state-of-the-art, effective Pilates equipment backed by the information and education necessary to help people embrace their body's potential and live healthy, active lives. Pilates on Tour travels around the globe every year looking for ways to strengthen the movement community, and we could not be more pleased to bring the conference to California."
Started in 2004, Pilates on Tour travels to up to eight cities around the world each year. The continuing education conference features intimate class environments and 'A' list instructors. The Pilates on Tour Sacramento conference will host 19 presenters, including: Phillip Beach, an Australian osteopath, acupuncturist and Pilates instructor currently practicing in New Zealand; Alan Herdman, the first instructor to bring Pilates to London, England; Anna Maria Vitali, a medical doctor and Pilates instructor based in Italy; and Nora St. John, an instructor and acupuncturist who leads Balanced Body's curriculum development for Pilates and other mind-body training programs.
In addition to world-class instruction, the conference will feature the latest equipment innovations to give Pilates and movement professionals the opportunity to experience and absorb exercises, group programming and equipment evolutions in the field. Since establishing Balanced Body, Endelman has collaborated with numerous Pilates educators, studio owners, fitness facility managers, physical therapists, athletic trainers and home users from around the world in a quest to create the safest, most effective and most beautiful equipment in the industry.
