DALLAS, Aug. 4, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Associa, the nationwide leader in community management, will participate in more than 100 National Night Out (NNO) events coast-to-coast On Tuesday, August 4 and in Texas on October 6. For the fourth year in a row Associa Supports Kids is a national sponsor for the yearly event encouraging stronger relationships among neighbors, communities and local law enforcement.
"This year we're lending our support to a record number of communities, whether or not they are managed by Associa," says Associa Director of Corporate Citizenship Annette Ratliff. "In all, we'll be giving supplies or volunteering to help facilitate about 120 celebrations across the nation. Our employees are dedicated to providing communities with unsurpassed service and that's why this night is so important to us and why we're the only community management company doing something of this scale. "
As a national sponsor of the 32nd Annual National Night out, Associa plans to send its mascot Scout to about a dozen events. In addition, hundreds of Associa employees will be personally volunteering and handing out items such as ChildPrint ID kits, ASK temporary tattoos, coloring books, stuffed toys and other Associa Supports Kids items.
National Night Out is designed to:
1. Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness
2. Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs
3. Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships
4. Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
Associa Supports Kids is a value-added program for Associa community residents, designed to enhance the neighborhood community experience year-round.
