LEXINGTON, S.C., Aug. 4, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Avtec Inc. has been awarded its first contract through the National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO ValuePoint) — an important distinction that will allow state and federal public safety officials to more expeditiously access and procure Avtec's public safety dispatch communications systems.
The contract was awarded through a competitive RFP by NASPO ValuePoint — formerly WSCA-NASPO — and its lead state, Washington. It allows state and federal agencies to procure Avtec's Scout™ pure Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) dispatch systems and a host of peripherals and accessories at a pre-negotiated, discounted rate, without the need for an RFP or bidding process.
Terms and details of the agreement — and a price list that is applicable to participating NASPO ValuePoint agencies — can be viewed at the following link: http://www.naspovaluepoint.org/#/contract-details/61/contractor/324.
"We have worked hard to secure this contract, for the benefit of Avtec's growing client base in the public safety sector," said Avtec President and CEO Michael Branning. "With so many agencies struggling to balance performance, reliability, and total cost of ownership in their dispatch console choice, we are pleased to offer all three with our proven 'evergreen' Scout™ system that integrates a wide array of telephony and radio technologies, including P25."
