Birst Expands Into Canada, Appoints Jim Broadley as Country Manager

SAN FRANCISCO, CA and TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - Aug 13, 2015) - Birst, the global leader in Cloud BI and Analytics, today announced it is expanding its presence into Canada with the appointment of business analytics veteran Jim Broadley as country manager. The announcement strengthens and accelerates Birst's growth by adding a proven leader in the Canadian Business Intelligence market.

Broadley oversees direct sales and Canadian marketing and alliance partnerships for Birst Canada. He brings a successful track record of building high-growth companies in enterprise software segments such as business intelligence, big data and data warehousing.

Broadley joined Birst from Information Builders, where he led the Enterprise Accounts team in Canada. Previously, he built MicroStrategy's presence as Canadian country manager. He led Sales, Marketing, Services and Alliances and helped grow the business from $2.5 million to more than $20 million in revenues.

As Client Services Director of Business Intelligence & Data Warehousing for Oracle Canada, Broadley spearheaded data warehousing and decision support sales for some of Oracle Canada's largest accounts. Broadley also has held sales leadership positions at SAP, EMC, Pyramid Technology Corporation and GE Capital ITS.
