Miami, Florida, Aug. 27, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Dr. Renato Saltz of Saltz Plastic Surgery is pleased to announce the first Global Aesthetics Conference - assembling the world's finest plastic and cosmetic surgeons - to be held in Miami, Florida this October.
According to the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS)[1], the popularity of cosmetic medicine continues to grow, with more than 20 million cosmetic surgical and non-surgical procedures being performed worldwide in 2014.
“The demand for plastic surgery continues to increase as medical advancements are made and technology continues to improve,” says Renato Saltz, MD, President-Elect of ISAPS and co-founder of the Global Aesthetics Conference, which is holding its first event later this year in Miami, Florida. “Advancements in aesthetic surgery and cosmetic medicine are happening so rapidly that it’s essential that physicians are not just keeping up with the changes, but are on the cutting edge of the surgical and non-surgical options available now for their patients. My co-chair, Dr. Randy Waldman, and I have organized over 50 aesthetic meetings in the US and abroad over the past twenty years, and we’re excited that the Global Aesthetics Conference will now bring together the world’s best cosmetic doctors and aesthetic surgeons in the four core areas of the specialty so that we can share and learn from each other at what will truly be a world-class educational event.”
Renowned plastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr. S. Randolph Waldman agrees. “We have assembled a prestigious faculty of more than 157 highly skilled faculty members from the US and overseas. To date, this will be the largest and most distinguished faculty ever to present on the subject of aesthetic medicine.”
Dr. Waldman adds, “This conference will also offer presentations from many of the world’s leaders on the subjects of medical marketing, practice branding, website design and social media presence. These issues are often frustrating for many physicians and their staff, and in keeping with our goal of offering a comprehensive, outstanding educational experience, we are including this state-of-the-art Practice Management track.”
The Global Aesthetics Conference will be held in South Beach, Miami over four and a half days, from October 28 through November 1, 2015, hosted by Loews Miami Beach Hotel. Sessions will be multi-lingual, with simultaneous translations in Portuguese and Spanish. An impressive schedule includes hosted breakfasts and lunches, along with multiple sessions and tracks that will provide aesthetic physicians with over 40 hours of Continuing Medical Education (CME).
“We have purposely scheduled our event at South Beach during the Halloween season,” says Dr. Waldman, “because this area is so much fun during that time of the year. There will be multiple festivals and special events going on, providing so many exciting activities for the family during conference times.”
Dr. Saltz adds that “this is going to be the most exciting conference of its kind ever presented. In addition to the world-class education being offered to physicians and their staff, South Beach is such a beautiful location that we are suggesting to our colleagues that they simply close down their offices for a few days and bring the whole family out to Miami — that’s what we’re doing!”
The Global Aesthetics Conference is open to Core physicians only — plastic surgery, facial plastic surgery, oculoplastic surgery and dermatology — and is endorsed by ISAPS, The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) and the Multi-Specialty Foundation.
