Apprio Names Andy Leone as New Executive Vice President of Health Programs

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwired - Oct 5, 2015) - Apprio, a leading provider of specialized technology solutions, particularly for the health, defense and homeland security markets, today announced the appointment of Andy Leone as the new executive vice president of health programs. Leone will act as the overall program manager for Apprio's Strategic Partners Acquisition Contract (SPARC) efforts.

With prior experience as an executive for both SRA and GDIT, Leone has supported the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for more than 10 years, having directly managed such programs as Customer Support for Medicare Modernization (CSMM) and the Retiree Drug Subsidy System (RDS). He also had executive responsibility over the ViPS Medicare System (VMS) and the Drug Data Processing System (DDPS). Leone and his team were responsible for the implementation of one of the initial IT projects generated from the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA). That program was the Early Retiree Reinsurance Program (ERRP), and then Leone went on to run additional ACA programs including the Enrollment Assistance Program (EAP) and Financial Management Program Support (FMPS). While at GDIT, Leone ran the Health Group's PMO which was responsible for achieving CMMI ML3 and ML4, and EVMS certifications.
