WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwired - Oct 6, 2015) - Brent Pawlecki, MD, MMM, is the 2015 recipient of the Global Leadership in Corporate Health Award, recognizing his career as a proponent of workplace health.
The award, sponsored by the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) and the National Business Group on Health®, was presented at the National Conference on Health, Productivity and Human Capital in Boston, MA.
The award honors the achievements of individuals who demonstrate excellence and leadership in implementing programs that improve the health and productivity of the workforce.
Since 2011, Dr. Pawlecki has served as the chief health officer for The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company where he is responsible for developing the company's global health strategy and for providing leadership for the company's medical clinics, fitness facilities, health benefits, health improvement and wellness programs, employee assistance programs, and health-related emergencies.
Prior to joining Goodyear, Dr. Pawlecki was the corporate medical director for Pitney Bowes Inc., overseeing all health-related issues and services of the organization, including Pitney Bowes' award-winning corporate clinics and wellness programs, and the disability/workers compensation department.
In addition, Dr. Pawlecki has taken a leadership role in highlighting the importance of end-of-life issues both for physicians and for corporations. His efforts have served to highlight the importance of helping workers who are caring for sick or elderly relatives both in benefit plan design programs and educational initiatives.

During his career in medicine, Dr. Pawlecki worked in both private medical practice and emergency medicine. He graduated college and medical school at St. Louis University and completed a combined residency in internal medicine and pediatrics from Bridgeport Hospital and Yale University. He also completed a master of medical management business degree from the University of Southern California.
