C-Suite TV Features Interviews With Leading Executives Diving Into the Changing Landscape of Their Respective Industries

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Oct 13, 2015) - Executive Perspectives, one of the top online business shows on C-Suite TV, has announced the next series of episodes for October. Executive Perspectives will feature one-on-one interviews Chuck Lovelace, Vice-President of Affordable Care, Liberty Tax Service talking about the changes in the tax code as a result of the Affordable Care Act, Chicago Tribune Media Group Publisher and CEO, Tony W. Hunter, talking changes in the publishing industry and Neal Campbell, SVP and CMO of CDW talking all things digital and measurable in marketing.

After the signing of President Obama's signature legislation, the Affordable Care Act, Chuck Lovelace was appointed Vice-President of Affordable Care to help consumers understand the new legislation and what the changes in the tax laws meant for them -- both as individuals and as small business owners or franchisees. This past year marked the first tax season where individuals had to report insurance as a result of the individual mandate of the ACA, so Liberty Tax Service saw a need to help millions of consumers navigate the complex path of changes in their own taxes.

Whether the small business mandate or the larger employee mandate, the ACA has had an impact on business owners everywhere, especially franchisees. With over four thousand stores, Lovelace states that the objective is to create happy and successful franchisees/employees and being prepared to take care of consumers' needs. By working with both, Health & Human Services and the IRS, Liberty Tax Service has been able to coach other tax professionals on several new forms that people need to fill out as a result of the ACA as sixty-three percent of individuals seek help filling out their tax forms and thirty percent of franchisees have gotten licenses to help customers understand the ACA.

Tony W. Hunter became the Publisher and CEO of the Chicago Tribune Media Group in 2008, at the height of the recession. His challenge was taking an iconic brand out of bankruptcy and transforming the publishing giant into a new 21st century industry giant. Coming in, Hunter wanted to focus on disrupting the status quo, as he sees opportunity in disruption. He was able to get the employees to go along with the changes by showing each employee how they would fit into the company's "winning plan." Hunter is a believer that "culture eats strategy for breakfast," so he set out to show all employees how they could make a difference and in contrast, show them what the company would look like if no changes took place. Employees were updated every quarter and the turnaround was achieved by providing complete transparency with the company's financials and as progress started to show, employees saw the positive changes and were more inclined to work in tandem with management.

Neal Campbell is the SVP and CMO of CDW, a Fortune 500 company and leading provider of integrated information technology solutions to a number of small, medium and large businesses in a number of industries. Campbell mentions how marketing is not for the 'faint of heart' anymore and it has become more digital and measurable. He argues that modern marketers need to have a thorough understanding of analytics, not just how to collect data, but how to use it, too. While not everything is measurable, analytics still drive day-to-day decisions and the end goal should be to understand a customer's journey through the data collected. That is the goal at CDW.

All episodes of Executive Perspectives are hosted by Jeffrey Hayzlett and can be seen throughout the month on C-Suite TV.

Best-selling author, speaker, and former Fortune 100 CMO Jeffrey Hayzlett created C-Suite TV to give top-tier business authors a forum for sharing thought-provoking insights, in-depth business analysis, and their compelling personal narratives.

"My interview with Chuck Lovelace is a significant one because of the many changes in the tax code as a result of the ACA, but what struck me was the amazing business opportunity Liberty Tax Service created out of this law," Hayzlett said. "The other two executives I spoke with have overcome their own obstacles, first an iconic brand like the Chicago Tribune was successfully able to adapt to the massive industry changes by becoming a digital powerhouse with the same journalistic standards that made it iconic. CDW's Neal Campbell is considered an 'outsider' by many because he didn't come from the brand side, but was brought in to navigate the changes in the marketing industry and how it serves its customers and has done so successfully."
