NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - October 14, 2015) - After select versions of the 27” iMac received an incredible 5K display last year, Apple has finally brought the Retina love to the smaller 21.5” models, which will now feature 4K display. This smaller screen offers a resolution of 4096 x 2304, 4.5x more than the original Full HD display. Also, now all 27” iMacs will have the Retina 5K display with a native resolution of 5120 x 2880. These new screens also have a wider color gamut with a P3-based color space, ensuring greater color accuracy and more natural gradations, critical for photographers, video editors, and designers who will find the extra resolution useful in their work.

These machines of course saw a processing boost as well with the 27” including the latest Intel Skylake processors, powerful AMD graphics processors while the 21.5” features 5th-en Haswell processors and enhanced Intel Iris Pro Graphics. Two Thunderbolt 2 ports are also available on every model and the Fusion Drive provides users the performance of a solid state drive as well as the capacity of a traditional hard drive.

Alongside these new machines are an updated keyboard mouse, and trackpad, all now with built-in Li-ion batteries and improved enhanced ergonomics. Most notable the Magic Trackpad 2 now offers Force Touch.
