PITTSBURGH, Oct. 19, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The American Middle East Institute will convene in Pittsburgh Tuesday for its 8th annual business conference, the 2015 Health & Technology Forum, including special segments on Doing Business in the Middle East. This year’s conference features presenters from Algeria, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Oman, and concludes with keynote remarks by CNN host Fareed Zakaria entitled, “Arc of Crisis: Reality and Hope in the Middle East.”
This year’s featured presenter at the conference’s daytime session is His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Obaid Al-Saidi, Minister of Health, Sultanate of Oman. Dr. Al-Saidi has been a leading advocate for health reform and modernization in the Sultanate, and a major voice on the development of medical cities in the Gulf States region.
AMEI president, Simin Curtis says the choice of Al-Saidi is a timely one. “Our friends in the Gulf region, and particularly the Sultanate of Oman, are defining what 21st Century care will look like. They have a unique ledger of challenges, but have been adept at meeting every one of them with characteristic innovation,” said Curtis. Adding, “The AMEI Health & Technology Forum will prove our conviction that even amidst dramatic change, business and creativity marches on, and people live better lives because of it.”
