BETHLEHEM, PA--(Marketwired - October 19, 2015) - The Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania (BFTP/NEP) board approved the investment of $651,600 in 10 regional companies. BFTP/NEP is an award-winning, state-funded economic development organization that links early-stage technology firms and established manufacturers with experts, universities, funding, and other resources to help them prosper through innovation. BFTP is an initiative of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development and is funded by the Ben Franklin Technology Development Authority.
Since beginning operation, BFTP/NEP has helped to create 16,600 new jobs for Pennsylvania workers and to retain 22,958 existing jobs, to start 470 new companies, and to develop 1,356 new products and processes. Ben Franklin Technology Partners has returned $3.60 to Pennsylvania for every $1.00 invested in the program.

Begin marketing and sales efforts to launch a software platform for e-commerce store owners. ChannelApe offers a Software-as-a-Service cloud-based platform that helps e-commerce stores automate and integrate their redundant inventory, order, and fulfillment management tasks. The product connects associated channels across numerous platforms into a single point of access.
EggZack, Inc., Ben Franklin TechVentures, Bethlehem - $88,000
Enable EggZack to build local audiences of consumers for its small business customers by automating and optimizing their social media. EggZack provides an automated sales and marketing system that is specially designed for companies that serve local markets. The web- and mobile-based platform systematizes the management of clients' websites, search engine optimization, social media, local search, email marketing, blogs, video, and directory optimization to generate more local leads. With Lehigh University's Enterprise Systems Center, complete the implementation of AutoCAD 3D and map, analyze, and further automate and improve current production processes to increase throughput.
