Leveraging a new technology platform, the Bluetooth Smart Padlocks remaster accessibility to provide consumers with advanced but easy to use functional features along with the strength, durability, and reliability they have come to depend on from the brand. Developed with simple, ergonomic features, the 4400D indoor padlock and 4401DLH outdoor padlock are well suited for a variety of applications for use at home, office, facility, job site, gym or school. Once registered, the Bluetooth Smart Padlocks will unlock upon touch when an authorized device is within range. Using the Bluetooth Smart protocol for wireless communication, Master Lock provides leading-edge security, with robust, military-grade authentication and encryption mechanisms to deter sniffing, replay and manipulation attempts. The padlocks also feature a directional keypad, offering an alternate method of entry if a Bluetooth Smart-enabled device is unavailable or if the device is stored in a locker.

Control and Convenience
By downloading the free Master Lock® Vault eLocks app and creating a Master Lock Vault account, users gain fingertip accessibility, connectivity and control of their padlocks as well as the ability to share digital keys and monitor the padlock's activity.

With the new Master Lock Vault eLocks app, owners have access to multiple padlock features, including the ability to add/delete locks, add/remove guests, schedule guest access, view the padlock's activity history and personalize settings for relock time and unlock mode. For added peace of mind, owners also receive notifications for low battery and tamper alerts.

Simple One-Touch Operation
The padlocks are easy to use, with intuitive visual color cues for lock status. To open the padlock, the authorized user simply presses any button on the lock to "wake it up." The lock will light blue as it connects with an authorized device. Then, it will unlock and light green, prompting the user to open the lock. The center LED status indicator informs the user of the padlock's status -- blue indicates locked or communicating with a device, green indicates open or unlocked and waiting to be opened, yellow indicates a low battery and red indicates an invalid keypad entry.
