LAS VEGAS, Nov. 13, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Associa Nevada South recently assisted Spread the Word Nevada with its first Snack Time With Books event of the 2015-2016 school year at Lincoln Elementary School in North Las Vegas, Nevada on Thursday, October 1.
Snack Time With Books allows school children, along with their parents and siblings, to enjoy a snack, pick out a book to take home, and have a book read to them aloud. Associa Nevada South volunteers helped set up the event, counted attendees, passed out reading logs, and gave out snacks and books. With 49 adults and 127 children in attendance, keeping the event flowing smoothly in such a short amount of time was no easy task.
"The event was so fast-paced, lasting only one hour. We worked hard to make sure absolutely everyone in attendance received a snack and a book. That included parents and babies in strollers! The smiles and excitement made it completely worthwhile and we can't wait to volunteer again." stated Associa Nevada South Social Committee President and Office Administrator Amanda Hildebrand.
