NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - November 18, 2015) - Robin Hood, New York City's largest poverty-fighting organization, held its third annual Investors Conference yesterday. Presented by J.P. Morgan and hosted by Hyatt at Grand Hyatt New York in midtown Manhattan, the event brought investment and business luminaries in finance, real estate, policy, technology, retail, energy and other sectors together to share insights into their shifting industries and the road ahead. The conference has raised $15 million since its inception, which goes to the 200+ organizations Robin Hood supports. These groups are the most effective soup kitchens, homeless shelters, schools and job-training programs in New York City.

J.P. Morgan launched the inaugural Robin Hood Investors Conference in 2013 and has sponsored the event annually. Robin Hood contributes 100% of the money raised through ticket sales to the programs it supports.

The two-day conference was organized by Robin Hood Board members Mary Callahan Erdoes, CEO of J.P. Morgan Asset Management; John Griffin, founder and president of Blue Ridge Capital; Philippe Laffont, founder and chief investment officer of Coatue Management, Daniel Loeb, founder and CEO of Third Point and Barry Sternlicht, chairman and CEO of Starwood Capital Group.
The agenda included "Fireside Chats" with Jamie Dimon, chairman and CEO of JP Morgan Chase & Co.; T. Boone Pickens, founder and CEO of BP Capital; and Logan Green, co-founder and CEO of Lyft, as well as "Best Idea" sessions with Lee Ainslie III, founder and managing partner of Maverick Capital Management LLC; Daniel Loeb, founder and CEO of Third Point and David Einhorn, co-founder and president of Greenlight Capital. The conference concluded with an engaging presentation by Michael Bloomberg, founder of Bloomberg LP and Bloomberg Philanthropies.
