GLENVIEW, Ill., Nov. 23, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Dr. Eve Feinberg of Fertility Centers of Illinois (FCI) will host an egg freezing party with complimentary appetizers and cocktails at Flight in Glenview on the evening of December 1st. Currently serving as the medical director of the FCI Center for Fertility Preservation, Dr. Feinberg has helped hundreds of women freeze their biological clocks.
From 2013 to 2014 FCI saw a 32 percent increase in women freezing their eggs to delay childbearing. This year they are on track to help over 325 women preserve their fertility.
According to the Pew Research Center birth rates are at an all-time low among women in their teens and early 20s, while birth rates among women in their early 40s are at the highest level in four decades. With egg freezing being covered by corporations such as Facebook and Apple, preserving female fertility has officially joined the mainstream.
While freezing eggs does not guarantee a future child, it does increase chances of success. To educate and empower women to make a choice that is right for them, Dr. Feinberg and FCI staff will host an egg freezing conversation followed by a Q & A session at the event.
