The Enchanting Elopement Package is tailored for intimate weddings of up to 10 guests, to be held in a choice of breathtaking locations at the lodge or within the reserve. Kadoro, the rustic and secluded cottage out on the reserve, makes a wonderful wedding venue for small groups. Also included in this package are a bouquet of indigenous flowers for the bride and buttonhole for the groom; a wedding cake for up to four people; a romantic rose petal turndown with South African sparkling wine; and a set of "His" and "Hers" bath sheets. In addition, Bushmans Kloof offers the services of a dedicated minister to take care of all formalities. To offset the excitement of the big day, Mr. and Mrs. can start their new life together with a leisurely breakfast in bed or at one of the lodge's scenic locations. The package costs $715.00 per bridal couple for the above-mentioned services and is available from January 6 through December 20, 2016. Please note that the accommodation rate is not included in this package, and that a minimum two-night stay applies. This package is only available for a wedding party of up to 10 guests.
Weddings for up to 60 guests are also well catered for at Bushmans Kloof. A favorite choice - weather permitting - is Embers, majestically positioned in one of the lodge's most spectacular locations. Built into a natural sandstone amphitheater, this outdoor dining venue is perched on a dramatic cliff, overlooking the spectacular valley below, with a wooden deck lit by candles, lanterns, and a roaring campfire. Other popular choices for the wedding feast are The Homestead, a haven of old-world charm and elegance; spacious, open Makana, with its elegant lounge with twin fireplaces overlooking sweeping lawns and the Boontjies River; and the elevated Manor House Deck, protected by an ancient Fig Tree and overlooking the rolling lawns, manicured fynbos gardens and the river.
Venue hire includes the ceremony onsite with seating of up to a maximum of 60 guests; a Wedding Gazebo, which can be dressed to suit each particular occasion, color scheme and style; the use of rustic wooden chairs; and refreshing hand towels for all guests, prior or post ceremony. In addition, Bushmans Kloof can arrange pre-reception drinks and canapés and lavish all-inclusive receptions, as well as pampering spa treatments for the bridal party in the holistic spa on site. Couples hosting a wedding at Bushmans Kloof for 30 guests or more will need to book the lodge on an exclusive basis for a minimum two-night stay. (32 guests can reside at the main lodge with private villa Koro Lodge providing for another eight people). Larger wedding parties of 40 and more can accommodate overflow guests in nearby Clanwilliam and Wupperthal.
Tucked away alongside the Boontjies River, the Riverside Supreme Honeymoon Suite is the ideal choice for newlyweds, including a separate lounge with fireplace, large terrace, outdoor shower, a private heated plunge pool and luxury bathroom with a candlelit spa bath for two.
