NCC awarded SEK 340 million construction assignment for HSB in Uppsala

NCC has been commissioned by HSB to build 158 apartments in Uppsala city center
that will form the Brf Hamnen tenant-owner association. The order is valued at
just over SEK 340 million.
“The apartment block will have a distinct environmental profile, including such
solutions as a 440-square-meter solar panel system for the production of green
electricity,” explains Svante Hagman, Head of NCC Construction Sweden.

NCC will initiate production of the new property block – containing 158 new
tenant-owner apartments and seven retail and service premises – in January.

The centrally located industrial area, which is distinguished by its old
industrial structures, is being transformed and making way for new, centrally
located residential housing next to the Fyris river. The apartments will be
built to a high standard and all will have a view over the river.

The strong environmental profile will be boosted by the building’s Silver
environmental rating from the Sweden Green Building Council. The classification
takes into consideration such environmental factors as energy use, energy
sources, indoor environment, materials and chemicals.

The first apartment owners are scheduled to move in during the second quarter of
2018. The order will be registered in the NCC Construction Sweden business area
in the fourth quarter of 2015.
