The chiropractic clinic recently announced plans to provide a free consultation, examination, medically necessary X-rays and a report of findings free of charge to new patients who donate $35 in toys, cash, or food.
Dr. Kurt Michaux D.C. and Dr. Lance Stromberg D.C. note that the special Holiday offer represents up to a $480 value, and is "a way to share the benefits of health and wellness." Toys, cash and non-perishable food brought to the clinic prior to December 23 will be donated to New Beginnings of Central Florida. The organization, founded in 2007, is a non-profit, faith-based initiative that provides a menu of varied services in local communities as a way to help the homeless.
The organization was chosen as the recipient of the Holiday Food and Toy Drive because the chiropractic team supports their four-step approach to helping men, women and children take charge of their own lives. Through a multi-phase program, New Beginnings offers a "hand up, not a hand out." In 2014, they served more than 27,000 individuals and distributed over 122,000 pounds of food.
