"Our annual golf tournaments are a reflection of Ingram Micro's core value of social responsibility and continue a longstanding tradition of giving back to the communities in which we work and live," said Paul Bay, executive vice president and chief executive, Ingram Micro U.S. and export. "The annual outing is a fun way to bring our associates and business partners together and help support and raise awareness of the profound impact these eight nonprofits have in their respective communities. I am proud to work for a company and alongside colleagues that give back so generously."
The two events, which were made possible in part by donations from associates and manufacturer partners featured a combined total of nearly 300 golfers and were managed by approximately 100 volunteers. All proceeds benefitted each region's chosen local charities.
Ingram Micro began hosting charity golf tournaments in 1991. The tour annual tournaments have raised more than $3.5M to date.
