Vectron International and Microsemi Leverage Their Fully Compliant Timing Solutions, Combining High Performance Precision Oscillators and Timing Card PLLs

HUDSON, N.H. and ALISO VIEJO, Calif., Dec. 15, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Vectron International, a leader in the design and manufacture of Precision Oscillators and Timing Solutions for Communication, Industrial, Military and Space applications, and Microsemi Corporation (Nasdaq:MSCC), a leading provider of semiconductor solutions differentiated by power, security, reliability and performance, announced that Vectron’s precision oscillators will be supporting Microsemi’s timing card phase lock loop (PLL) solutions.

Vectron’s precision TCXO, the TX-500, will be paired with Microsemi’s ZL30622 single channel ultralow jitter network synchronizer. The three input, three output any frequency timing card PLL has an integrated digital phase lock loop with a programmable loop bandwidth from 0.1Hz to 500Hz. Together the TX-500 and ZL30622 will be fully compliant to ITU-T G.813 and G.8262, meeting stringent holdover requirements for customers.

“We are excited to be working with Microsemi,” says Dave Bail General Manager of Vectron’s Precision Oscillator Products group. “Microsemi’s timing solutions are solving the timing and synchronization challenges the network is seeing today. The collaboration with Microsemi is allowing both companies to offer fully compliant and qualified timing solutions to our customers, saving engineering development time and qualification testing.”

“Our customers rely on our experience and expertise in timing and synchronization to provide proven, standards-compliant timing solutions. Working with a company like Vectron brings great value to Microsemi, as it enables us to offer this complete, G.813- and G.8262-compliant solution and further enhances our diverse product offerings,” said Maamoun Seido, vice president and business unit manager of Microsemi’s timing products. “This collaboration not only helps provide our customers with standards-compliance assurance, but it also allows them to improve their time to market by implementing a solution meeting the most stringent timing requirements.”
