The sweepstakes was created to allow businesses the opportunity to give back to their charity of choice and spread awareness to each organization during the season of giving. J. De Sigio Construction, Inc. entered the sweepstakes to nominate the U.S .Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program. During the months of October, November and December, the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program collects new and unwrapped toys in order to distribute the toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community. As described on the Toys for Tots website, the goal of the program “is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.” Campaign Coordinators plan and implement voluntary events throughout the year to increase awareness in Toys for Tots, such as golf tournaments, foot races and bicycle races. Eric Pivaroff nominated Toys for Tots on behalf of J. De Sigio Construction, Inc., which provides quality water and sewer pipeline installation in Baldwin Park, California and surrounding areas.
