NEW ROCHELLE, NY--(Marketwired - January 25, 2016) - Somnia Anesthesia, a national anesthesia practice management company, joins the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) to celebrate nurse anesthetists across the country for its the 17th annual National CRNA Week held from January 24 to January 30, 2016.
This year, AANA's theme, "Making a Difference, One Patient at a Time," is a reflection of CRNAs ongoing dedication to each patient before, during and after surgery. More than 49,000 CRNAs and student registered nurse anesthetists provide approximately 40 million anesthetics to patients in the United States each year, delivering safe, high-quality anesthesia care to the facilities they serve.
In celebration of National Nurse Anesthetists Week, Somnia Anesthesia will once again recognize an outstanding Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by hosting its fifth annual CRNA of the Year Award. Somnia will be accepting CRNA nominations from across the country beginning on January 25 and will end on February 12 at midnight. CRNAs may be nominated by a fellow CRNA, physician, or other healthcare professional who works with that CRNA using Somnia's online nomination form. The winner, who will be selected by a panel of senior-level healthcare clinicians and administrators, will be announced on February 17.
"Somnia is proud to honor nurse anesthetists across the country for their professionalism, dedication, and quality of care," said Brandy Pearson, Somnia's national director of recruitment." This award has received an overwhelming response in past years, and we look forward to continuing that trend this year. We are so happy to provide these individuals with the recognition they deserve, as they are such an important part of our network."
