Lighting the Path to 5G: Viavi Introduces Virtualized Ethernet Probe to Revolutionize Service Assurance and Backhaul Test

MILPITAS, CA--(Marketwired - Feb 10, 2016) - Viavi Solutions (NASDAQ: VIAV) today expanded its EtherASSURE service assurance portfolio with a virtualized Ethernet test probe, further supporting its customer base of Tier-1 service providers around the globe as they ready for NFV and 5G. These operators depend on EtherASSURE solutions to help optimize networks and guarantee service levels, and are seeking test capabilities consistent with the virtualized networks they are implementing, or test functions that can be deployed more flexibly to support the diversity of network endpoints envisioned on the path to 5G. National carriers in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia have been conducting, or plan to conduct, trials of Viavi's virtual Ethernet test probe. Viavi will be demonstrating this solution at Mobile World Congress, Hall 6, Booth 6I37, February 22-25.

The EtherASSURE virtualized Ethernet test-head/probe delivers test, troubleshooting and performance monitoring and is based on the industry-leading capabilities of the purpose-built hardware version of the Viavi QT600-10. This allows customers to more simply deploy services on industry-standard x86 server platforms.
